You can use the Flight Booking window
to specify the details of the domestic
or international flight that you want
to book. Please note that when you
first access this window, the majority
of boxes already contain information.
This is known as default data. If
the default data does not apply to
your required flight, you must either
select or type new information in
the relevant boxes.
1. In the
box labelled Type of trip,
select a trip type from the
drop-down list. For example,
if you want to make a one way
trip, select One Way Trip from
the drop-down list. The default
for this box is Return Trip.
Please note that if you select
One Way Trip or Multi-Leg Trip,
the Flight Booking window is
redisplayed with different options.
2. In the boxes labelled Travellers, select the
number of Adults, Children and
Infants from the drop-down lists.
For example, if two adults,
one child and one infant are
flying, first click on the list
to the left of the Adults label
and select 2 from the list.
Secondly, click on the list
to the left of the Children
label and select 1 from the
list. Finally, click on the
arrow to the left of the Infants
label and select 1 from the
list. The default for these
boxes are 1 Adult, 0 Children
and 0 Infants. Please note that
a child is considered between
two and eleven years old, and
an infant is under two years
old, both on the date of departure.
3. In the box labelled Departure City/Airport, type the city
from where you want your flight
to start. Type either the city
code, if known, or the full
name of the city together with
the country in which it is located.
For example, if you are departing
from Manchester in the United
Kingdom, you must type either
MAN or Manchester, United Kingdom
in the box. If you type Manchester
in the box, the on-line booking
facility is not sure whether
you want to depart from Manchester
in the United Kingdom or Manchester
in the USA. When you click on
the Search button, the on-line
booking facility prompts you
to select the correct one from
the list displayed underneath
the City Departing From box.
Alternatively, you can retype
the city name. There is no default
value for this box.
If your trip is a One Way Trip, click here.
